MareziJazz 2013, some results
It always feels nice to see how your work turns out in a physical form. Especially when it's done as it should be. :) Eventhough the organisation of MJ went through quite smoothly, I'm in my usual pre-event-thrilled-nervous-mixed-feelings-mood. But fortunately, I also know that in less than 24 hours this unpleasant feeling will be over. So - cheers to great music, nice people, relaxed atmosphere and the perfect boula*. :D
*Updating your drink vocabulary:
boula is a summer "coctail" made of (preferably red) wine, fresh peaches, sugar and some secret ingredients. ;)
New MareziJazz website
Proudly presenting the new website for the festival MareziJazz and the jazz workshop Zgrabi Zvok/Grab the Sound. :) FINALLY! Almost finished (there are some mini details to be fixed, but all in all is as it should be). I made the design... which was magically transformed into a functional page by my friend Tomaž Lango.
Zgrabi zvok 2013
Since 2011 the music workshop Zgrabi zvok (Grab the Sound) takes place alongside the big band festival MareziJazz.
The graphics for this year use the same colour scheme as the past year's, but are made even more simple. The instruments seem to peek from the borders over a plain black bacground. The coloured stripes just highlite the mentors' names and bring some dynamics in the layout of the flyers.

Zgrabi Zvok 2011 & 2012
In 2011 an upgrade to the traditional big band festival occurred. Since then we organize a jazz music workshop Zgrabi zvok/Grab the sound alongside MareziJazz. The graphics for both years were practically the same, for the exception of some additional features (more instruments teached at the workshop) in 2012.
Logo (a hand grabbing a note) was designed along the recognizable text style. The design of posters, flyers and other elements is simple, stylized and uses bright basic colours, which look good either on black or white bacground.
