Little Black Book

I've been loyal to certain brand of pocket planers for a looong period of time (still stick to their sketchbooks!). As they have become quite pricey and, besides that, it has always annoyed me that they include also a lot of pages nobody uses (making them thicker than necessary) ... I was forced to find an alternative, precisely a Spanish one. I was quite satisfied with my last year's planer, but unfortunately - for some obscure reasons - could not order this year's edition online.

So I decided to make my own. From scratch. Designing the layout, creating a tiny prototype, folding, binding, gluing, wrapping. The final result is a thin 9×14 cm planer, with a rough fabric cover, a strong elastic strap and a back pocket. Inside covers in lovely prints match the orange-pink bookmark. :) The content consists of a two-page overview of this and next year, 2016 divided in months (on six pages) and the weekly planer (2 pages per week). The little black book ends with some dotted pages for notes and a couple of blank pages in recycled paper (for sketches, obviously).

A good idea makes you at least smile. In the best case it makes you laugh. And now you're laughing not because you think I'm mad, but because I'm right. ~ Steve Diskin
